The Central Clinical Laboratory (CCL), located directly above the Human Research Facility (HRF), is approved and registered with the National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS). An array of analytical procedures on biological fluids or tissues can be performed in the laboratory with short turn-around times. All analyses are performed by a National and/or State licensed technologist to ensure accurate test results.

The CCL provides general chemistry, hematology, and blood gas measurements (manual and automated) as well as hormone analysis (radioimmunoassay) on blood or body fluid samples from humans, primates, and other animals. New procedures can be developed, depending on need and demand.
